The Observatory, in conjunction with the Kansas Astronomical Observers, is inviting people who would like some pointers on how to use their telescope to attend one of our Bring Your Own Telescope programs. Just bring your telescope to the observing pad behind (north of) the Observatory building where members of the Kansas Astronomical Observers will be there to assist you. They will also have a number of their telescopes available to look though. So if you’re considering buying a telescope, come out and get some information about the different types of telescopes available. There is no charge for these programs although if you attend the Observatory’s regularly scheduled program, admission charges will apply.

Our public programs are presented every Friday and Saturday evening throughout the year. The Observatory is open from 9:00 to 11:00 p.m. during the months of May through August.

Admission:

  • $4.00 for adults
  • $3.00 for ages 6 - 12
  • Under six admitted free
  • Family Rate: 2 adults & immediate children or grandchildren $12.00
