MFA FELLOWSHIPS
MFA Fellowships - The Department of English awards two University
Creative Writing Fellowships to outstanding MFA candidates each year. The stipend for each of the three fellowships
is currently $12,000, part of which is used to pay in-state tuition. Stipends may vary from year to year depending
upon increases in funding. There is also the Stephen Barr Fellowship that
offers a smaller stipend and is awarded to an in-coming MFA student each year.
